For the record

For the record all that new google garbage I had to go through to get onto this thing was lame. In other news for those not updated on my life. I have been accepted to the University of Utah, Utah State, and I have a letter from the Y but I am to scared to open it. I fear rejection. I recieved a scholarship from Utah State which was cool. It was not for a lot but still it was nice. But none of this can compare to the fact that I am Bengal of the month. Yes my life has finally reached its climax in the form of a small plaque and parking space.

Skiing

Karen and I went skiing last weekend. It was a hoot, but I fell down a lot and I think I screwed up my knee in the process. I am going to go see the doctor about it, so we shall see if skiing was a good idea or not. Anyhow here are some pictures.

Weird dream

So I had this crazy dream two nights ago that Liz had a baby and she didn't name it for like eight months. So finally I asked her what she was going to name the baby and she said they were going to name it Philosophilous and call him Filo for short.

Weird.

Diana where have you been? you don't answer my phone calls. How are things?

Today we had our primary program and me and Joe got to sit up with our class and help them. They were cute! Joe wasn't really excited to be in the program, but he was good. We sang scripture power (complete with the thrusting of our), follow the prophet, search ponder and pray, and a bunch others. too bad everyone couldn't see our awesome performance!

Have a good week all.

A return to the internet

Holy cow I'm posting again! So after one month of wedded bliss we finally got the internet and after one week of stupid conversations with Comcast tech support involving phrases such as "wait 24 to 48 hours for your modem to reset" (those people really don't know what they are talking about but after calling them five times we finnaly got a good one) we are back on the net! Now I just have to figure out how to get my flinging flanging router to work. If it isn't one thing its another you know? Today was pretty much the first day in a long time I have just spent at home. I went and got my haircut and we went and tried to take some wedding presents back. I swear some of the stuff we got these people must have bought out of some guy's trunk because we cannot find out where the heck they got it from. And what are we going to do with two toasters? I guess one of you lucky kiddlets will be getting a toaster for Christmas. Anyhow this is my attempt to revive the blog, and apology for not posting as much, but like I said I would have been here a lot sooner if it weren't for Comcast. Oh well, we got it fixed eventually.

FETUS!

Today in child development I witnessed two births. I could have seen two more but I was sick of seeing fluid and women parts and I felt sick so I put my head down. In conclusion labor movies are sick and I am glad that I do not have to ooze out a baby. Good luck women

New Post

Holy cow I haven't posted for a long time. Sorry sibs. I am not a faithful poster like Liz. Perhaps the reason I haven't posted for so long is a. nothing exciting has happened that you don't already know about and b. I have no free time to speak of. Maybe that will change here in about a month or so when I can say goodbye forever to the stupid LSAT. Man I hate that thing.

Done and Done

I took my last final forever and ever today. It is kind of weird to think about. After I took the test I walked back to my car feeling nostalgic and reveling in the beautiful spring weather. I got to my car ready to bid farewell to my college life and...it didn't start. I couldn't get the key to turn, I tried to jiggle it and mes with the steering wheel, gear shift, everything. Nothing worked. I walked back to campus to Susie's office and she said that we could go try it again and if I couldn't get it started she would let me drive her car home. After I played with it a little while more I managed to get it started. It was kind of an anti-climactic ending. Oh well. I get to walk tomorrow. Pomp and circumstance here I come!

Fun on the Freeway

I went home over the weekend. I didn't want to drive back on Sunday night so I decided to stay over one more night and go home this morning. I woke up kind of late and didn't get on the road until about ten after eight. I was driving down I-15 around the point of the mountain and I saw a wheelbarrow in the road. That's right a stinking wheelbarrow. On the freeway! It was in the far left lane, and a car was heading right for it. I guess he didn't see it or wasn't paying attention because he didn't change lanes or anything. Suddenly he swerves to avoid it but it was too late and he got hit on the side of his car by the wheelbarrow. He swerved very violently and started spinning out. He spun into the adjacent lane (my lane) and almost hit the car in front of me who also swerved to avoid hitting him and started spinning as well. So here I am going sixty miles an hour and two cars spinning out right in front of me. I slammed on my brakes and managed to swerve out of the way without joining the automobile ice capades that was taking place in front of me. Needless to say it shook me up a little bit.

Moral of the story: Wheelbarrows on the freeway are bad.

Upset

Holy crap George Mason beat Ucon.

Ah, the happiest place on earth

So, Joe and I got back from our vacation last week and I guess it took me a little long to make the report. We spent our first night at Joe's aunt's house in St. George and the next morning went and picked up the Hafen's. We drove to L.A. that day. That night we went to dinner with Joe's cousin Matthew who works and lives in Santa Monica. He works for a video game company (electronic arts) designing the game "Medal of Honor". He's really fun and nice but we don't get to see him very often. We went to Beverly Hills and looked at the ritzy houses and Rodeo Drive and the temple after that. The next day we went to Disneyland. We got there at 7:45 and stayed until 11:15 it was a fun day, but it sure was a long one. Brandaige and I didn't go on as many rides as Ryan and Joe did because she is pregnant and I gave my stomach a rest some times, but I went on some fun ones (including "Its a Small world") The next day was Sea World, but it isn't as big so we only stayed until 4:00 and then we went to the beach and the San Diego temple. The next day we slept in (ahhhhh) and started home. Apparently L.A. residents like to go to Vegas on the weekends and we hit the traffic just right because it took us 5 hours to get out of L.A. Fun. It was definitely a fun trip and the Hafen's were a blast, but I made the definite decision that if it were my choice I wouldn't want to live in L.A. And don't worry siblings...I bought you some cheesy souveniers from the happiest place on earth!!!

Hooray for Three Day Weekends

I am very excited for no school on Monday. It will be very nice, plus I get to see Karen for one more day which is fantastic. I am enjoying my classes pretty well so far. Milton is very interesting. People in there are always trying to put on airs and show off how very intelligent they are. Here is a direct quote. "Milton was manly in deportment but his countenence was fair" Good night! What is wrong with people? Just talk like normal people you freaks. So irritating. My other classes should be pretty good. I went to calligraphy on Monday and my professor told me he made me a gift over Christmas break so I am excited to see what it is. Neat.

I so hate research

So i am sitting in 2nd doing "research" and i decided to blog becuase i really like the sound of the keyboard it is very nice. I am supposed to learning about the bonytail chub but oh well. My teacher is right by me so it is very dangerous. I have a C+ in math because i need to redo two assignments. I really really hate math oh my gosh. I am just going to type random crap because the sound of this keyboard when i type fast is aweome beyond all control and i feel way pro becuase sometimes i am not looking and typing at the sam time and i feel like the most cool person in the most cool world. I bet all my peers are staring at me in awe because i am typing so awesomely and not even looking at the screen. "who is this awesome typer and where does he get his skills." Well i would have to say i got my skills from frequent msn chats and all the typing classes i took. Ok bye.

Math Class

Whenever Jacob doesn't show up to Math i am forced to be partners with a young man named Nathan. Nathan is very nice and extremely good at Math for the Real World, as we do problems Nathan will frequently ask me if A. He set the problem up right or B. the answer he got is correct. I am often tempted to say to Nathan "do you think that I actually Know!?"

Read this or perish

Today was a lame day oh yes oh yes in student gov we kind of got chewed out because we werent being good enough leaders and our fundraiser is kind of doing pretty bad. I don't know why the SBO'S got mad at us though seeing as they planned the dang thing. Hahahaha. I just kind of laughed at it all you can only hear the phrase "good leaders see things and then go do them" so many times before you start laughing. Anyway, I just try and tune out most people in that class because they are about as real as my boob job. Well powder puff is tonight that should be fun. OH!!! and special message anyone who is planning to come to thanksgiving plan on playing football I don't want any lame people who wont play. Bye

Alone

Susie is gone to Arizona for the week and as a result I am alone for the entire week. I think I will probably go crazy. All alone in the house. I always end up watching a lot more tv than I should when susie is gone because I am lonely and at least tv is kind of compay. It beats talking to myself eh? I also end up checking my e-mail about twenty times a day. So if you want to make my day you know what to do. On a happier note, it is almost thanksgiving and I am totally ready to put myself into a turkey induced coma. MMMMMM turkey coma.

The Happies

Hey sorry I never ever write on this...

So have any of you guys heard of a band called "The Happies"?

This girl in my marketing class came into class today really excited because they were on the cover of Salt Lake City Weekly. They are a local (SLC) band and I guess she knows a couple of the people in it. A couple other people in the class said they really liked them too so I decided too check them out.

I kinda like what I've listened to of their music so far. Its really, really mellow - kind of reminds me of the old nineties band, "The Eels". I guess they just came out with a new CD and you can download their entire first CD from their website (theHappies.net) for free.

So if you feel like hearing some new music, I'd say these guys are worth taking a look at. Hope you're all having a killer time.

-Joe

Meh

Thanks all

Thank you all for coming out and supporting me, the girl I will be going on the date with is name Kaitlyn curtis but a bunch of her friends bought me for her as a birthday gift. It is kind of an absurd idea that anyone would pay that much money for anything let alone me. I did hear about Marcus and his odd experience, I hope he gave that teacher a lot of crap and capped her in the head. I am sorry you guys had to semi experience of high school again i heard you were all disapointed. I don't know what I am going to do with life now, I feel I have reached my peak I kind of want to retire or something like that. Or chizzle my eyes out with a salted fork rather than attend another useless day of school filled with fake people. Amen

Yea Andrew!

Wow Andrew 2000 dollars huh? Not quite the used band-aid. No offense inteded but who the crap pays 2000 for a date, a yearbook page or anything else in a high school auditourium (except our beloved Andrew of course). So, who was this girl who you are going out with anyway? What are you guys going to do? Is she a nice person. Did Diana tell you that Marcus got yelled at by a teacher for roaming the halls? Well- have a good one all.

Yo Yo

I saw your feeble attmept to revive the blog mwhahaha. Well I will do my part. I saw those pictures cat i am scared to say the least. Fundraiser starts this week anyone excited? I'm not, donate a date is on tuesday at 10:45 but come early just in case. That would be cool if anyone from my family would come give a shout out to me. Well wish me luck and hopefully people will be willing to spend money on me. I keep having this horrible daydream that i will only go for a used band aid. On another note i want to be Batman.

Revive the Blog!!

This is my effort to revive the blog. No one posts here anymore. Sad. I am left to correstpond with my siblings by e-mail and phone (except not Catherine because of an unfortunate incident involving a bucket) How is everyone doing? I am super good. I am starting to get pretty busy though. I have to start studying hard core for the LSAT because it is a month away and I am in sore need of practice. I am writing this on Susie's work computer because she hasn't shown up yet. We are supposed to go to dinner togeather tonight, but I am not so hungry. Hmmmm. Other than that, everything is spiffy. I have my seminar class tonight at my professor's house. We were supposed to read this enormous article, and i read it all right, but I am not sure how much I retained because it was more boring than watching paint dry while driving through the Nevada desert. We are almost done with that class, because he is giving us a few weeks to work on our papers.

On another note, I am completely excited for Thanksgiving! Catherine will be home, Turkey will be eaten. It will be awesome!

O.K. Kids I have done my part. It is up to you to revive the blog.

Help..its an epidemic

So, tonight Joe and I went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and we were walking through the store and we saw this GROWN WOMAN, like in her thirties holding this little mini dog under her arm like one of those glamour starlets would- puke. No more than 5 minutes later we saw a MAN about the same age not the same couple carrying a little weenie dog under his arm. Sheesh what is horrendous (did i spell that right) phenomenon? Help!
