Monday's Run
Karen and I ran about three miles yesterday. It is the longest run we have done yet. I was surprised that it was not as hard as I thought it was going to be. That said, we are definitely going to scale back the rest of the runs this week. We are getting there though.

Monday Run
Karen and I ran 2 miles yesterday. We both had a tough time of it so we are going to take a break for a couple of days.

Saturday Run
Karen and I ran a mile yesterday before it started raining. We really want to up our mileage, but it is hard when we have to have Karen's mom watch the kids for us when we run. We are probably going to have to start going separately.

Slacker
Hey Guys,
Andrew was giving me a hard time for not posting/checking the sibling blog so here I am. Training has been going pretty well for me. The program I am doing is called Couch to 5k, it has been really good for me to ease into the whole thing. Tomorrow I will complete day 2 of week 3 in the 9 week program, almost half way there!! I am starting to enjoy it a lot more which is a plus. Anyhow, I hope everything is going well for everyone. Happy Training!

New Shoes
I went to Wasatch Running today and got new running shoes. The shoes I have been using are about five years old and have been through it, so it is a good thing that I got new ones. The person at the store watched me run and then suggested which shoes to buy, so hopefully they work out ok.
Saturday is a special day....
It's the day we run long mileage. It was long mileage, I was out for an hour and a half because my pace is extremely slow but it was fun. I run along the river trail every day which is straight up awesome. There were a lot of people on the trail today with quite the mix, hardcore cyclists, families, kids, and I think one homeless person. It is always a nice run because there is nice scenery and you are running next to the river most of the time. The run stole all of my energy so I have been lazy the rest of the day. Catherine and I went to target and got some clothes, I bought some running shorts and a new running shirt I am not sure what she got. I will try and post some pictures sometime. Update
The training continues! This is week two and it is a killer, I biked yesterday because I am trying to cross train so I don't over exert myself. Today I went for a run in the morning, I felt pretty sluggish, which is probably due to a late night and bad food. Last night my friends and I went to a crappy dollar movie and snuck in chicken nuggets. It is a tradition we have, it started out with that CGI owl movie, then we went to the bieber movie, and this time we saw Journey to the mysterious island. If you have never heard of this gem of a movie here is a clip:
It was a grand old time, I snuck in and ate 20 chicken nuggets and didn't get to sleep until after midnight. This equals slow running morning. It was well worth it, hope you guys are doing well!

The Race

The 5k is not timed, Catherine is fine with that I am not sure how the rest of you feel about it. We started our training today at 7:00 A.M. It was rainy and tired in the air. This is my inspirational Michael Jordan movie, Catherine has seen it nine million times because I keep watching it. Happy Training!
